Salon Reopen: Covid-19 Guidelines

OUR COMMITMENT:

We will provide you with a safe environment that complies with guidelines issued by government and our local authority

Our Salon

  • We have undertaken a thorough review of our salon and the services we offer.
  • We have rearranged our waiting, reception, and treatment areas to adhere to social distancing guidelines,
  • All surfaces throughout the salon will be cleaned regularly and wiped with the appropriate cleaning product between each treatment.
  • We will clean the reception area regularly.
  • All items of equipment will be cleaned before and after every treatment. This includes all metal instruments, brushes, bowls, and tweezers.
  • Disposable gowns and towels will be used at all times.
  • One-use disposable item will be used where necessary (sustainable alternatives kept where possible)
  • We will adjust ventilation throughout the salon with doors and windows open where possible.
  • A strict sanitation process will be carried out in the salon at the end of each day.

Our Team

  • We have conducted training to ensure all team members care for our customers in a safe, hygienic, and professional manner.
  • Staff have been trained to adapt each treatment to uphold best practice, including hygiene and safety.
  • Staff are regularly briefed to uphold safe standards while dealing with responsibilities at reception.
  • We have agreed social distancing for our team in communal staff areas.
  • Staff have been briefed to not attend the salon if they have a temperature, or are feeling unwell or if any person in their household is unwell or self-isolating
  • All staff are to wear, mask, gloves, and recommended PPE

Our Treatments

  • We have reviewed our treatment menu and removed treatments where we felt it necessary to do so.
  • Our therapist will wear gloves, masks, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) during treatments where required.
  • Therapist will wash their hands before and after every treatment and PPE will be replaced after every treatment.
  • Our therapist will stay with you throughout your treatment – not venturing out of the room – to reduce the need to replace PPE and minimise infection.
  • New clients will have a virtual consultation to assess their service needs and ensure the right appointment time is allocated.
  • All consultations will be done using our virtual online system to minimise face-to-face interaction.

Guest Arrival & Reception

  • A screen will be installed at reception.
  • You will be greeted warmly but without a handshake.
  • Health screening checks and temperature will be taken on arrival.
  • We will provide hand sanitiser which must be used on entry to the salon, and every time you enter and leave the bathroom.
  • We will not be serving refreshments, hot or cold. No food will be allowed to be eaten on the premises. If you would like a drink, please bring your own. We can provide disposable cups for emergency use. You will be required to take all rubbish with you.
  • We will no longer be able to offer magazines in the salon.
  • We will stagger customer arrival times to minimise close contact.
  • Our waiting area will no longer be available. Please turn up for your appointment on time so that you can be escorted to your treatment bubble swiftly and on time.
  • Where possible we will escort you straight to the treatment area / room to avoid congestion.
  • We ask that you pay using card or other cashless means where possible
  • We will be encouraging all clients to book and pay online using our automated system.
  • Where possible, clients will need to attend the salon alone, with the exception of carers, parent or guardian.
  • No babies/young children will be allowed in the salon until further notice
  • We can no longer accept pets being bought into the salon.

We Ask You, Our Customers

  • To pre-book your appointment. We will not be accepting walk-ins.
  • Only bring essential items with you. All belongings must be kept with you throughout the duration of your appointment
  • To arrive at the time agreed, to maximise social distancing.
  • To wash your hands and/or use hand sanitiser as directed by our team and before and after each treatment
  • To contact us and re-arrange your appointment, if you have a temperature, or are feeling unwell or if any person in your household has the same or is self-isolating

Do NOT come to the salon if you or anyone you live with is self-isolating or is displaying symptoms known to be consistent with Covid-19.

We are happy to discuss any of your individual concerns, please feel free to speak with a member of staff.

We reserve the right to amend or adjust these guidelines based on government policy and new research to protect the safety of all our staff and clients.
